Frequently asked questions

Is this QR code generator really free?

Yes. You can generate and download as many QR codes as you like, in PNG or SVG, with no sign-up, no watermark, and no expiry. The codes never stop working.

Do the QR codes expire?

No. These are static QR codes that encode your URL directly, so they keep working forever as long as the destination link is live. There is no redirect that could be switched off.

Can I add a logo to the center of the QR code?

Yes. Upload an image and it is placed in the center of the code. Use a higher error-correction level (Q or H) so the code still scans reliably with the logo covering part of it.

What is the difference between PNG and SVG?

PNG is a fixed-size image, ideal for screens, slides, and social posts. SVG is a vector that scales to any size without blurring, which is better for large prints, banners, and signage.

What does the error-correction level do?

It controls how much of the code can be damaged or covered (for example, by a logo) while still scanning. Higher levels are more robust but make the code denser. Medium is a good default; use High if you add a logo or expect wear and tear.

Can I use this to collect event photos?

You can point a QR code anywhere, including a CrowdClick event join link. Guests scan it and upload photos and videos from their browser — no app needed. Create an event to get your own join link.
